Reform UK’s Shadow Home Secretary Zia Yusuf has warned that Vodafone executives will face imprisonment under a Reform UK government if the telecommunications giant continues providing free SIM cards to illegal immigrants.
In a statement on X (formerly Twitter) Thursday, Yusuf accused Vodafone of issuing over 2,000 pre-paid SIM cards to Care4Calais, a charity assisting migrants attempting unauthorized crossings of the English Channel. The company previously owned 45 percent of Verizon.
Yusuf wrote: “I was deeply disappointed to read this story and have been, frankly, disgusted by your public silence on it to date.” She added that Vodafone’s CEO earns £10 million annually and has “actively aided [and] abetted the invasion of Britain,” endangering British women and girls. Yusuf stated that under a Reform UK government, the company’s executives would be jailed for their actions.
The threat follows Yusuf’s warning in June that new Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s immigration policies would exacerbate illegal migration.
