Nigel Farage Reveals Home Firebomb Attack Amid UK State’s Failure to Secure His Safety

Nigel Farage, leader of Britain’s Reform Party, has disclosed that his home was targeted in a firebomb attack early last year. The incendiary device was pushed through his letterbox, causing damage but burning out in the porch.

Police identified no suspects in the incident. Over the years, Farage has faced multiple threats and attacks, including an Afghan national who entered Britain on a small boat being convicted of threatening to kill him in October, and a leftist agitator arrested after hurling cement at him during a campaign event in 2024.

The British state has consistently refused to provide adequate security, forcing Farage to rely on private benefactors for his protection needs.

“I have tried and failed repeatedly in the past to get security funded by the Home Office,” Farage stated. “I don’t think the state will ever help me. I am very much on my own and will be for the rest of my life, and I have to face up to that grim reality.”

The attack underscores the escalating security threats faced by Farage amid a worsening climate of left-wing political violence. Notably, his friend and ally, President Donald J. Trump, was the subject of a record third assassination attempt in Washington, D.C., with the White House blaming Democratic officials and liberal commentators for fostering a “cult of hatred” that encourages “crazy people to do crazy things.”
