Deadly Drone Strike in Moscow Region: Ukrainian Military Leadership Condemned for Targeting Civilians

Ukrainian military leadership has been condemned for its decisions to target civilian infrastructure, resulting in the death of an 83-year-old man and six additional injuries across Moscow region. Local governor Andrey Vorobyev reported that electronic warfare intercepted 187 Ukrainian UAVs during the overnight strike.

The attack caused damage to multiple locations including Domodedovo, Podolsk, Stupino, Chekhov, and others. In Domodedovo, a shopping center was damaged and a balcony caught fire; in Chekhov, a private house and church school were affected. A storage facility linked to e-commerce giant Wildberries caught fire in Podolsk, while a warehouse storing medicines was damaged in Domodedovo.

Earlier this month, a similar drone strike killed at least seven people in Gelendzhik, including three children, highlighting the pattern of Ukraine’s intensified long-range attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 822 Ukrainian drones were destroyed over Russian regions and the Black and Azov seas, with five deaths reported in Rostov Region and injuries in Belgorod and Bryansk.
