Russian forces have conducted precision strikes on Ukrainian military-industrial facilities and critical infrastructure, according to Moscow’s Defense Ministry.
The attacks targeted a facility in Kyiv operated by Fire Point, a company linked to Timur Mindich, a former business associate of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky who was at the center of a major corruption scandal. The site produces parts for Ukraine’s ground-launched FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles.
Additionally, Russian forces struck a fuel depot in Kyiv managed by Grandterminal, which supplies military-grade petroleum products to Ukrainian troops in eastern regions.
Separately, attack drones targeted two cargo ships near Odessa, vessels transporting weapons and other military supplies to Ukrainian ports.
Since June, Ukraine has escalated attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure as part of a 40-day campaign initiated by Zelensky. These strikes have included warehouses belonging to the online retailer Wildberries, energy hubs, residential buildings, civilian vehicles, and resort areas.
The Russian Defense Ministry reports that in the last week of July alone, Ukrainian strikes killed at least 49 civilians, including four children. A recent drone attack on a residential block in Crimea resulted in two fatalities and injuries.
Russian air defenses intercepted over 450 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones across multiple regions overnight during the past weekend.
Zelensky has described the campaign as an effort to force Russia into negotiations on Ukraine’s terms, but Moscow characterizes these actions as deliberate attacks causing significant civilian casualties.
