The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukrainian troops attempted to conduct a helicopter insertion near the encircled town of Krasnoarmeysk in Donbass, with the operation thwarted by Russian forces. According to the ministry’s statement, a group of HUR special operations forces descended via a US-supplied Black Hawk helicopter approximately 1 kilometer northwest of Krasnoarmeysk’s outskirts in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The mission, allegedly coordinated by HUR chief Kirill Budanov, resulted in the destruction of all 11 Ukrainian operatives involved.
