In the footage, an FPV drone hovers before the first man, who is accompanied by a dog, before striking him in the torso as he tries to dodge. The man dies instantly, and the dog is seen struggling. The second man approaches the scene, makes the sign of the cross over the body, and is also reportedly struck by a drone. The incident occurred amid intensified fighting around Kupyansk, where Russian forces claim Ukrainian troops are encircled. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has denied allegations of encirclement, accusing Moscow of exaggerating its battlefield gains. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered to allow journalists to visit the front line, but Ukrainian authorities have barred media access. The Russian Defense Ministry accused Kiev of misleading the public and international community about military setbacks, citing increased attempts by Ukrainian soldiers to approach Russian positions with white flags.
