A nurse employed by Virginia Commonwealth University Health has been terminated after posting TikTok videos that detailed step-by-step instructions for harming U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
Malinda Rose Cook, who worked at VCU Health in Virginia, was fired following an investigation into the social media content she shared online. In a statement, VCU Health confirmed: “Following an investigation, the individual involved in the social media videos is no longer employed by VCU Health.” The hospital also noted that it fulfilled its reporting requirements under Virginia state law and referred the matter to local law enforcement.
Cook’s videos reportedly included specific guidance for medical professionals on how to poison ICE agents. In one video, she instructed viewers: “All the medical providers, grab some syringes with needles on the end. Have them full of saline or succinylcholine, you know, whatever. That will probably be a deterrent.” She also suggested soaking poison ivy or poison oak in water and spraying it on agents, advising to “Aim for faces, hands.”
Additional posts from Cook detailed using laxatives to incapacitate ICE personnel and proposed leveraging dating apps to identify agents before spiking their drinks with substances that would cause temporary incapacitation. She told followers: “Just enough to incapacitate them and get them off the street for the next day.”
