Bill Clinton Defends Himself Amid House Oversight Committee Testimony on Epstein Ties

Former President Bill Clinton appeared before the House Oversight Committee on February 27, 2026, in Chappaqua, New York, to address his connections to Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased financier who supported the Clinton Foundation. During his deposition, Clinton asserted he had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and stated: “I saw nothing and I did nothing wrong.”

Clinton also criticized the committee for compelling his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to testify the previous day, adding: “You made Hillary come in. She had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing. She has no memory of even meeting him.” His remarks followed comments by Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC), who described Hillary Clinton as “unhinged” during testimony.

Chairman James Comer (R-KY) reported that Clinton confirmed under oath President Donald Trump had no involvement with Epstein, stating: “The President [Clinton] went on to say that the President… Trump… has never said anything to me to make me think he was involved—and he meant with Epstein.”

The committee continues its investigation into the Clintons’ ties to Epstein, with questions about transparency and accountability remaining central.
