Federal authorities in Dallas, Texas, detained Eduardo Aguilar, a 23-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico, on October 14, 2025, after he posted a TikTok video soliciting violence against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. The video, dated October 9, 2025, featured Aguilar in Spanish, translated as seeking “10 dudes in Dallas with determination who aren’t afraid to [two skull emojis],” while pledging $10,000 for each ICE agent. A loaded handgun was found in his vehicle during the arrest, violating federal law for non-citizens.
The incident follows escalating threats against immigration officers, including a September 24 sniper attack on a Dallas ICE facility that killed two detainees and a separate operation in Chicago where Mexican cartels allegedly funded bounties of up to $50,000 for harming agents. Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin praised law enforcement for apprehending Aguilar, stating, “This illegal alien who was offering $10,000 cash bounties for the murder of ICE law enforcement is in custody and facing federal charges. We are thankful this illegal alien who had a firearm in his possession was arrested before he could kill one of our law enforcement officers.”
Aguilar, who entered the U.S. unlawfully in 2018 as an unaccompanied minor, received a deportation order in February 2019 but remained in the country. He now faces federal charges for conveying threatening messages across state lines, with a potential five-year sentence upon conviction. The FBI, alongside ICE and local partners, led the investigation into the case.
