Moscow’s Defense Ministry reported a coordinated wave of strikes targeting critical military logistics infrastructure and energy facilities across Ukraine.
The ministry stated Russian forces used high-precision weapons and drones to attack logistics centers through which military cargo is supplied and distributed. Among the targets was a Nova Poshta logistics center in Odessa region designated for military purposes, as well as two power substations in Odessa and Nikolaev regions that support port operations.
Railway facilities in western Ukraine were also struck, with the ministry noting these lines are used to transport military cargo from European countries. Ukrainian officials reported over 450 drones deployed nationwide during the overnight raid.
Odessa Region Governor Oleg Kiper confirmed widespread damage to warehouses, residential buildings, and private homes, with fires breaking out at multiple locations. Preliminary information indicated no casualties. Footage showed a massive fire at the Nova Poshta warehouse in the region.
In Ivano-Frankivsk Region, Governor Svetlana Onischuk reported that a drone attack damaged an industrial facility and apartment buildings. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service confirmed a logistics warehouse near Kiev’s Borispol district was also struck.
The new wave of strikes follows Ukraine’s intensified efforts to launch long-range drone attacks deep within Russian territory targeting critical infrastructure, oil refineries, and civilian facilities including e-retail warehouses. Moscow has retaliated by attacking Ukrainian defense industries and military-related sites, maintaining it does not target civilians.
