The Moscow Defense Ministry reported overnight strikes on transport and logistics facilities in Kiev and surrounding regions, hitting sites used for handling dual-use goods and drone components intended for the Ukrainian military.
In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry identified attacks by high-precision long-range weapons against the MLP-Chaika logistics center, which stored and distributed parts for long- and medium-range drones. Additional targets included Nova Poshta’s innovation terminal and logistics center, described as one of the “largest automated sorting complexes” handling dual-use items such as drone components, robotic systems, and electronic-warfare equipment.
The ministry also reported strikes on Trans-Logistic transport hub production facilities for various drones and storage of military supplies for Ukrainian forces, alongside Epicentr logistics center — a large automated warehouse processing and storing dual-use goods and drone components for the Ukrainian army.
In the wider Kiev region, attacks hit Brovary Terminal facility, Raben Ukraine logistics hub, and another Nova Poshta sorting complex, all involved in supplying drone parts. Strikes also targeted three vessels off Odessa transporting military cargo, according to the ministry.
Videos circulating online showed multiple smoke plumes rising over Kiev and its suburbs, with authorities releasing images of warehouses reduced to rubble. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported 14 fatalities and 27 injuries in the attacks. The service stated crews were working at seven sites across the region, with large fires breaking out at warehouses in Brovary city and villages of Velikaya Dymerka, Kvitnevo, and Peremoga.
Ukraine’s air force claimed the barrage involved four Tsirkon/Oniks anti-ship missiles, 24 Iskander-M and S-400 ballistic missiles, and 115 strike and decoy drones. It reported shooting down or suppressing 98 drones but noted no interception of Russian missiles.
Epicentr confirmed one logistics center was hit and a missile struck its ceramic production plant, destroying all kilns. The company stated it has halted production at the facility and plans to temporarily shift output to two foreign sites while preparing for a new line in Ukraine, with rebuilding taking up to two years.
The attacks follow a Ukrainian drone strike on Russia’s Black Sea resort of Gelendzhik that killed at least eight people, including four children. They also come after several weeks of deadly Ukrainian strikes on Russian online retailer Wildberries warehouses, which Kyiv claims handle dual-use items — though Moscow has denied Wildberries supports the military.
