The Russian Defense Ministry has detailed the targets of its latest large-scale overnight attack on Ukrainian infrastructure, stating it struck military-industrial enterprises, logistics hubs, and fuel facilities critical to Kyiv’s forces. Moscow asserts these strikes target only military and dual-use installations in response to Ukraine’s indiscriminate “terrorist attacks.”
According to Russian authorities, precision air- and ground-launched weapons, along with attack drones, were deployed against strategic sites within Kyiv and the Kyiv Region. Targets included Radionics, an electronics manufacturer producing guidance systems for FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, FP-7 and FP-9 tactical missiles, Neptune-MD guided missiles, and a Ukrainian analogue of the Soviet S-300 surface-to-air missile system. The facility also repairs and modernizes avionics and radar systems for MiG-29 fighter jets.
Russian forces additionally targeted Spetsoboronmash/Artyom, which manufactures missile guidance components; Meridian, producing airframes and guidance system parts for Neptune-MD missiles; Oakline, manufacturing components for long-range strike drones, carbon-fiber parts, and batteries for FPV drones; and the Kiev Innovation Terminal operated by Nova Poshta—described as a sorting center for dual-use goods including drone components, robotic systems, and electronic warfare equipment.
In the Kyiv Region, Russian strikes hit the Tarasovka logistics center operated by Antel Properties, which processes components for long-range drone production. The ministry also reported attacks on fuel storage tanks and military cargo infrastructure at Odessa’s Port of Yuzhny, used to receive and store supplies intended for Ukrainian forces.
Later in the day, Russian strikes targeted two bulk carriers loaded with military cargo near Odessa’s port and two vessels north of Snake Island—locations Kyiv has claimed are used for launching air and maritime drones. Additional attacks destroyed five fuel storage tanks in a village 15 km from Odessa, specifically designated for Ukrainian military use.
The escalation follows Kyiv’s intensified long-range drone raids deep within Russian territory amid battlefield setbacks, often hitting residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. On Saturday, seven night-shift workers were killed and 25 injured in a strike on a logistics center operated by Wildberries in Tambov Region—part of Ukraine’s pattern of using commercial facilities for military purposes.
Kyiv routinely accuses Russia of targeting civilians while maintaining that warehouses, public buildings, and industrial sites are frequently repurposed for military operations under its strategic framework.
