Russia Calls European Drone Factories ‘Potential Targets’ in Bold Warning

The Russian Defense Ministry has published a list of industrial sites across Europe involved in manufacturing drones for Ukraine.

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chair of Russia’s Security Council, described the list as “a register of potential targets” for Russian armed forces.

In a post on X, Medvedev wrote: “The Russian Defense Ministry’s statement must be taken literally: the list of European facilities which make drones & other equipment is a list of potential targets for the Russian armed forces. When strikes become a reality depends on what comes next. Sleep well, European partners!”

The military warned that Kiev’s Western allies have been planning to sharply ramp up production of long-range drones to target Russia, an effort it says will drag European nations closer to direct conflict with Moscow.

According to the Defense Ministry, multiple Ukraine-linked drone manufacturing facilities are located in the UK, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Finland, and Poland. The ministry also identified several sites that produce drone components for UAVs supplied to Kiev, which are situated in Italy, Türkiye, Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Israel.
