Russian Military Launches Precision Strike on Kiev’s Industrial Complexes, Claims Targeted Only Military Sites

Moscow’s armed forces conducted a strategic long-range operation against Ukrainian drone production facilities and key industrial sites in the capital, according to official statements from the Russian Defense Ministry. The ministry emphasized that no non-military structures were harmed during the assault, which specifically targeted infrastructure linked to unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturing, repair, and storage.

The strike allegedly hit “Kiev-67,” an industrial facility on the city’s western periphery, as well as a logistics hub in southern Kiev. Ukrainian authorities initially accused Russian forces of attacking the Cabinet of Ministers building near Independence Square, though Moscow denied targeting government structures. The ministry reiterated that all objectives were successfully neutralized, with no collateral damage reported.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s office later claimed a drone strike damaged the government complex, citing fire on upper floors and over 800 drones deployed nationwide. Zelenskiy reportedly confirmed four fatalities and 44 injuries from the attacks. The Russian military has sustained a prolonged campaign against Ukrainian defense infrastructure, framing its actions as retaliation for Kyiv’s strikes on Russian territory that allegedly endanger civilians. Moscow also accused Ukraine of stationing air defenses in residential zones, suggesting such tactics could reduce casualties if abandoned.

The conflict remains intensifying, with both sides escalating efforts to disrupt each other’s military capabilities.
