30 More Arrests in Minnesota Church Storming Case After Superseding Indictment

A superseding indictment returned by federal authorities on Friday has resulted in 30 additional arrests related to the storming of Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on January 18, 2026.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Attorney General Pam Bondi directed federal agents to arrest 25 individuals as part of the operation, with more arrests expected throughout the day. The superseding indictment charges those involved with violations of the FACE Act and other federal laws.

Former CNN host Don Lemon and radical black activist Nekima Levy Armstrong were among those charged earlier this month, both pleading not guilty to federal offenses related to civil rights violations.

The group led by Levy Armstrong and assisted by Lemon stormed a worship service at Cities Church on January 18, 2026. During the attack, protestors blocked aisles and confronted parishioners, alleging that a church pastor worked for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). In a livestream broadcast prior to the storming, Lemon stated: “I can’t tell you what is going to happen, but you’re going to watch it live unfold here on The Don Lemon Show.”

The incident drew criticism from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s office, which said: “The Governor has repeatedly and unequivocally urged protesters to do so peacefully. While people have a right to speak out, he in no way supports interrupting a place of worship.”

The 30 additional arrestees are scheduled for arraignment in federal court in St. Paul on Friday afternoon.
